The Depth Collar is an essential accessory for Countersunk Drill Bits in woodworking, allowing you to precisely define the depth of pilot holes in preparation for installing countersunk screws.
It ensures that the pilot hole for the tapered screw head is not drilled too deep or too shallow, resulting in a flush and beautiful finish where the screw head sits perfectly level with the wood surface.
✨ Product Highlights
Perfect Depth Control: Ensures pilot holes are drilled to the correct depth, allowing screw heads to sit flush with the material surface for a clean look.
Easy to Use: Simply slide the collar onto the drill bit and adjust it to the desired depth.
Durable Material: The collar is made from hard metal, ensuring high durability for heavy-duty use.
Adjustable: The depth can be easily set and secured in place using the set screw/nut provided with the collar (as shown in the image).
🛠️ How to Use (Summary)
Loosen the set screw/nut on the depth collar.
Slide the collar onto the countersunk drill bit/pilot drill bit and move it to the desired depth (measured from the tip of the drill bit to the face of the collar).
Tighten the set screw/nut to lock the collar firmly in position.
When drilling a pilot hole into the wood, the collar acts as a stopper, preventing the drill bit from penetrating past the set depth.
Please Note: Drill bit NOT included with this product.
